FAQ'S ...

What types of residential fence do you sell?

While we do sell all types of fences, for the residential market we specialize in Chain Link, Wood, PVC, and Ornamental Aluminum.

How long to wait before staining fence?

We recommend waiting at least 60 days following installation to stain your wood fence. Any of the sealants made by major manufacturers are fine. We suggest you check with your neighborhood hardware or paint store for their recommendation for your particular climate.

How does staining increase the life of a wood fence?

Staining or weatherproofing your fence protects the natural oils and fibers in the wood. Without the protection of the stain/sealer, overtime the wood will turn grey as the oils are leeched out by the sun and rain.

Why choose cedar?

Cedar has natural oils and acids in the wood that make it undesirable to most insects. Thus, cedar is naturally insect and rot resistant. Cedar is also non-toxic and safe to handle. It’s perfectly suited to ground contact applications without the use of chemicals. Untreated, white cedar generally lasts 15 to 25 years and will weather gracefully to a silvery gray. Cedar also warps less than spruce or pine fences.

How do I decide what kind of fence I need?

You must first determine what the job of your fence will be. For instance, is it simply for decorative purposes or to add value to your home? Or is it for privacy, security or pool safety? Then you can explore your options on fences that will accomplish that job. We will review the different options available and assist you in choosing the best type of fence to meet your needs.
